The Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi emphesizes the importance of accepting the imperfect. The way this photograph turned out was not intentional, it was shot using heavily expired film just before sunset. I had set the shutter speed far too slow for the conditions, a mistake on my part, but it ended up creating one of my favourite images.
